چکیده
In this paper, we study the quenching behavior of solution of a nonlinear parabolic equation with a singular boundary condition. We prove finite-time quenching for the solution. Further, we show that quenching occurs on the boundary under certain conditions. Furthermore, we show that the time derivative blows up at quenching point. Also, we get a lower solution and an upper bound for quenching time. Finally, we get a quenching rate and lower bounds for quenching time. 2000 AMS Classification: 35K55, 35K60, 35B35, 35Q60

Existence and Asymptotic Behavior for a Singular Parabolic Equation
We prove global existence of nonnegative solutions to the singular parabolic equation ut−∆u+χ{u>0}(−u−β+λf(u)) = 0 in a smooth bounded domain Ω ⊂ RN with zero Dirichlet boundary condition and initial condition u0 ∈ C(Ω), u0 ≥ 0. In some cases we are also able to treat u0 ∈ L∞(Ω). Then we show that if the stationary problem admits no solution which is positive a.e., then the solutions of the par...

متن کاملBlow-up in the Parablic Problems under Nonlinear Boundary Conditions
The paper deals with a degenerate and singular parabolic equation with nonlinear boundary condition. We first get the behavior of the solution at infinity, and establish the critical global existence exponent and critical Fujita exponent for the fast diffusive equation, furthermore give the blow-up set and upper bound of the blow-up rate for the nonglobal solutions.
متن کاملNvestigation of a Boundary Layer Problem for Perturbed Cauchy-Riemann Equation with Non-local Boundary Condition
Boundary layer problems (Singular perturbation problems) more have been applied for ordinary differential equations. While this theory for partial differential equations have many applications in several fields of physics and engineering. Because of complexity of limit and boundary behavior of the solutions of partial differential equations these problems considered less than ordinary case. In ...
متن کاملFinite time quenching for a nonlinear diffusion equation with singular boundary flux
In this paper, we study the finite time quenching phenomenon of a nonlinear diffusion equation with nonlinear source and singular boundary flux. It is shown that the solution must quench in a finite time and the time derivative blows up at a quenching point. The quenching set and rate are determined.
